According to the publication of the National Bank of Cambodia on Tuesday 11^th April 2024 expressed that in recent years, digital payments have been growing significantly along with the rapid development of financial technology. For instance, the number of transactions for digital payments in 2023 was 1.8 billion, an increase of 60% over the previous year of 1.1 billion, while the total value increased by 40%, from $400 billion to $492 billion, which is equivalent to 16 folds of gross domestic products.
