Kampucheathmey New: PHNOM PENH, Feb 3, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia on Tuesday announced the establishment of the Dimension Stone Association of Cambodia, bringing together 60 local and international companies in the granite and stone sector to strengthen domestic production and expand exports.

The association, which elected its leadership ​​​​​​at the founding meeting, will represent ​​​​​​​member interests through policy dialogue, joint marketing, technology transfer and job creation. Officials said it also aims to raise the profile of Cambodian stone products in overseas markets.

Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rattanak welcomed the launch, describing it as a milestone for the country’s industrial development. “The Ministry of Mines and Energy will support this work through continued engagement and grant assistance,” he said, adding that he was proud to serve as Honorary Chair.

The new body is expected to facilitate closer cooperation between Cambodian producers and international partners, while promoting standards and competitiveness in the sector. Industry representatives said the association would help position Cambodia as a reliable supplier of dimension stone products for both domestic construction and global demand.
